HOW THE REPLICA WAS MADE: Originally made by forming a circle of willow and weaving a web pattern around the inner edge of the hoop to create a small hole in the centre. Feathers and beads are often attached to the hoop or string to represent wisdom, courage and Asibikaashi (spider woman). This replica was made using willow, straw and acrylic feathers.
