Description:
Canopic jars were used in the mummification process to store and preserve organs by the Ancient Egyptians from the Old Kingdom. The artefact was made out of clay, using a plastic mold which was then removed. Fine details were carved into the clay and then left to dry, after which it was painted and sealed with acrylic paints.
