The three pointed clay replica sculpture was typical in the Dominican Republic, Caribbean, and San Juan de la Maguana regions. A prevalent image among these artefacts was their compelling face with large, sucker eye sockets and a wide, toothless mouth. The face appears fierce. The item typical to the Taino culture was used to depict deities and represents the Taino people’s spirituality which influenced their culture and society.
